Saint Anne is the Mother of the Theotokos (Mother of God), The Blessed Virgin Mary. As Mary was chosen by God to bring forth the Son of God, so was Anne selected to bear the Immaculate Virgin Mary. Saint Anne is known as "Good Saint Ann" due to her ability to grant great favor through her intercession.
