St. Michael is invoked for protection, especially from lethal enemies. He is also the patron of soldiers, police and doctors. St. Michael has four main responsibilities or offices, as we know from scripture and Christian tradition:

  • Combat Satan
  • Escort the faithful to heaven at their hour of death
  • Be a champion of all Christians, and the Church itself
  • Call men from life on Earth to their heavenly judgment.

    About the Scapular Devotion:
  • The scapular (from Latin scapulae, "shoulders") is a Western Christian garment suspended from the shoulders. There are two types of scapulars, the monastic and devotional scapular, although both forms may simply be referred to as "scapular".
